Mr. Tec

Mr. Tec Ltd: software designed, built and looked after. Web, mobile, AI and cloud products for teams anywhere in the world.

We design and build web, mobile, AI and cloud software for UK businesses, then we keep it running. The same engineers from the first sketch to the support call.

Working with
  • APT Global Solutions
  • D&A Commercial

The story so far

2019 to 2026, in order.

  1. 2019

    One engineer and a laptop

Mr. Tec starts as a one person shop taking the builds agencies were too slow or too expensive for.

  2. 2023

    APT Manager goes live

Attendance, vehicle checks and field surveys for a fibre engineering company, on web and in the van. Still in daily use.

  3. 2024

D&A get a CRM that fits

Built from their spreadsheets outward. Quotes now go out the same day.

  4. 2024

    MK Training Centre online

Course catalogue and bookings for people finding a course on their lunch break.

  5. 2024

A vault that passed compliance first time

Encrypted contract storage with an audit trail a compliance officer will actually read.

  6. 2025

AURA: AI, 3D and chain in one product

Personality inference, a Qdrant memory index, ERC721 ownership and a Three.js galaxy.

  7. 2025

    A proper team

Developers, a dedicated QA and a DevOps engineer alongside the same lead engineer as day one.

  8. 2026

    This site, rebuilt in house

Including the bugs you can squash on the home page.

What we do

No handoff between a design agency, a dev shop and a DevOps contractor. The people who draw the screens also wire the database and set up the alerts.

01

Web applications

Products people log into every day.

Full stack products on Next.js and Node, taken from a Figma file or a napkin sketch to something your team uses on Monday morning. Fast, accessible and built so the next developer can read it.

  • Next.js & React
  • Node / Fastify / FastAPI
  • PostgreSQL & MongoDB
  • REST & WebSockets
Good for: Internal platforms, customer portals, SaaS MVPs, admin tooling.Details
02

Mobile apps

One codebase, both stores.

React Native and Flutter apps that feel native, pass review the first time and share business logic with your web product. We handle the store listings, signing and the boring compliance bits too.

  • React Native
  • Flutter
  • App Store & Google Play
  • Offline first
Good for: Field teams, operations apps, companion apps for an existing platform.Details
03

Platforms & internal tools

Replace the spreadsheets.

The unglamorous work that saves companies the most money. We consolidate legacy tools, spreadsheets and WhatsApp workflows into one system with proper permissions, audit trails and reporting.

  • Workflow automation
  • Role based access
  • Reporting & exports
  • Legacy migration
Good for: Operations heavy businesses: logistics, construction, training providers, agencies.Details
04

AI features

Useful, not a chatbot bolted on.

LLM features, vector search and recommendation engines embedded where they actually change a workflow. We are honest about what the models can and cannot do and we measure it.

  • LLM integration
  • Vector search (Qdrant)
  • Embeddings & RAG
  • Evaluation harnesses
Good for: Document heavy teams, search, personalisation, support tooling.Details
05

Cloud & DevOps

Deploys you stop thinking about.

AWS architecture with CI/CD, observability and sensible costs. We set up the pipelines, the alerts and the dashboards, then we show your team how to run them.

  • AWS
  • Docker
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitoring & alerting
Good for: Teams outgrowing a single server or a Heroku bill.Details
06

Blockchain & Web3

Contracts you can audit.

Smart contract design, ERC721 and NFT systems and wallet integrations, written with security first and tested to the last branch. Only when a chain is actually the right tool.

  • Solidity
  • ERC721 & NFTs
  • Hardhat
  • ethers.js & wallets
Good for: Marketplaces, provenance, tokenised memberships.Details
Selected work

How it runs

On a real URL, not in a slide deck. Fixed price when the scope is clear, fortnightly sprints when it is not, and we tell you which one you need before you sign anything.

  1. 01
    Week 1

    Listen

We sit with the people who will use the thing, not just the people paying for it. We map the current process, the spreadsheets and the workarounds, and we write down what done looks like.

    • Scope document
    • Rough estimate with ranges
    • Risks we already see
    , then
  2. 02
    Weeks 1 to 2

    Shape

Clickable prototype, data model, architecture sketch. We argue about it now while changes are cheap. You leave this phase knowing what you are getting and what it costs.

    • Prototype
    • Architecture and data model
    • Fixed price or sprint plan
    , then
  3. 03
    Weeks 3+

    Build

Two week sprints with a demo at the end of each one on a real URL. Code review on everything, QA in the loop from sprint one, and a shared channel where you can see progress daily.

    • Working software every fortnight
    • Staging environment
    • Test coverage report
    , then
  4. 04
    Launch week

    Ship

Zero downtime deploy, monitoring, backups, a rollback plan and training for your team. We do not disappear after launch. Support and iteration are part of the deal.

    • Production release
    • Runbook and handover
    • Support agreement
Try it

We put a small shell on the site because we spend most of our day in one. Type help, read about the work, then run a deploy and watch the pipeline go green. There is a small reward at the end.
